New Life Wellness & Recreation Ministry Volunteer Opportunities

Exercise Room Supervisor

• Be available to those exercising for help on machines, prayer requests, and report back to the wellness & recreation office on equipment status, etc
• Knowledge on exercise prescriptions and fitness testing a plus

Personal Trainer - Year Round

• Certified Personal Trainers needed to provide services to church members in our facilities

Aerobics Ministry - Year Round

• Certified Aerobics Instructors needed to substitute as well as lead new classes

Run/Walk Ministry - Year Round

• Need leaders to lead scheduled walk/jog/run groups on campus

Blood Drive Coordinator and Volunteers - Winter and Summer

• Coordinate publicity and volunteers.
• Volunteers will help publicize, handle registration, and hand out snacks.

Upward Basketball and Cheerleading Ministry - November- early February

• Weekly Practices November-February
• 8 Games played on Saturdays in December, January and February
• Awards Night in February
• Visitation in February

We need coaches, referees, game day helpers, devotion leaders, prayer partners.

Basketball and Cheerleading Coach- Typically there are 2 per team.

• Attend Training in October or November
• Help with player evaluations in October
• Lead the weekly1 hour practice
• Games are 1 hour on Saturdays in Jan/Feb
• Awards Night and follow up visitation in March

Referees:

• Attend training in October or November
• Lead teams in prayer at _ court before games
• Monitor substitutions on each team during game

Game Day Helpers:

• Open and/or close gym
• Run scoreboard
• Keep games running on time, adjust goals, help with player announcments

Devotion Leader:

• Give your testimony and/or devotion in 5 minute slots at a game.
• There are 20 slots to be filled on each game day.

Prayer Partner:

• Pray daily for the 100 days of Upward.
• You will receive a prayer guide and pin to wear as a reminder.

Upward Basketball Camp - Summer for 1 week

• Coaches, Referee, Devotion Leaders

FBCW Dance - September-May

• Hall Monitors
• Alterations for costumes
• Recital Day Helper
• Dance Teacher

Kenpo Karate Instructor - January-October

• Training provided
• Instructors meet on Tuesdays and classes are taught on Thursdays

Upward Soccer - January-May

• Practice and Games are at Arnold Mill Elementary School

Upward Flag Football - Mid August-Mid October

• Practices start in August
• Practice and Games are at Arnold Mill Elementary School.

Tennis Camp Leader - Summer for 1 week

• Leaders will demonstrate basic tennis skills in small groups

Vacation Bible School Recreation Volunteer - June

• Work the morning and/or evening session
• Work inflatables or games station
