The Pastoral Counseling Ministry consists of staff counselors (professional and pastoral counselors) who train and supervise volunteer lay counselors as well as graduate student interns.

We aim to present God's grace and truth to those who come to us for help. OUr desire is to see each person to whom we minister live out the purpose and plan that God has for them and to embrace the freedom that Jesus Christ provides.

With this in mind, our counsel is based upon the Biblical and Spiritual princiles found in God's WOrd along with principles of healthy relationships discovered through experience and research. We teach that the Holy Spirit, not the counselor, is the ultimate agent of change in a person's life.

Objectives of the Pastoral Counseling Ministry:

• To offer "Christ-centered" counseling for people that need help with issues such as: individual issues, struggling marriages, parenting issues and broken family relationships.
• To share with the lost that their greatest need is a "personal relationship" with Jesus Christ.
• To encourage believers to remember that the only hope for victory in this life is to trust the reality of "Christ in you, the hope of glory."
• To provide a safe and confidential environment for people to come to terms with their personal struggles and embrace God's plan for victory in the midst of their struggles.
• To provide an excellent training program for those who feel “called” into the lay-counseling ministry.
