Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed (AWANA)

II Timothy 2:15

AWANA is an international, nondenominational, Bible-centered program that offers children an exciting approach to scripture memory. The heart of AWANA is to present the gospel as well as having a strong emphasis in memorizing and understanding Scripture.

AWANA meets each Wednesday from 6:45pm - 8:00pm. Each night is divided up between game time, handbook time, and council time. Game time includes exciting challenges with four-team fun on the AWANA game circle. Handbook time includes activities, Bible study, and time for clubbers to recite memory verses. Council time includes a time for a Bible lesson, the presentation of the gospel, as well as a time for awards presentation.

AWANA is divided between two age groups. All children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade attend Sparks. All children in 3rd through 6th grades attend Truth and Training.

The AWANA ministry includes:

  • Bible Handbook Time: Children earn awards by memorizing Scripture
  • Game Time: Olympic-type team games on a special AWANA circle
  • Bible Council Time: Songs, Bible stories, Gospel message and awards

AWANA Needs You!
There are many opportunities to serve in AWANA! AWANA volunteers need little to no preparation to serve. We need Leaders, Game Directors, and Listeners.

Please join us and see how rewarding it is minister to our precious children.
